= (5)(3) is 5 x 3. Which is 15.

= (15)(-8) is 15 x -8, it equals to -120.

15 x 8 is 120 but since the two numbers have different signs ( + [positive] , - [negative]) the product will be negative. The explanation is easy, if you multiply two numbers with different signs, the product is always negative.

(Just the solution):

6. (5)(3)(-8)

=(15)(-8)

= -120

7.) (-2)(-10)(-9)(8)

= (-2)(-10) is -2 x -10. That equals to 20. Whenever you multiply two numbers with like / similar signs, the product will be positive.

= (20)(-9) is 20 x -9 which is -180.

= (-180)(8) is -180 x 8, it equals to-

= -1,440. It may seem like the solution looks different, in just did a different approach.
