consecutive integers
let say its x, x+1, x+2, x+3
(because its consecutive)
it says the sum of the 2nd and 3rd is 24 more than a half of the smallest which is the first one or
it means:
(x+1) + (x+2) = x + 24
2x + 3 = x + 24 (simplify by its terms)
2x -x = 24 -3 (combine like terms)
x = 21 (simplify)
if x is 21
substitute x with 21
checking:
2nd + 3rd = 1st +24
22 + 23 = 21 + 24
45 = 45
hope this solve the problem
