Summary

‘Binya’s Blue Umbrella’ is written by Ruskin Bond. It is the story of Binya, a young girl of a village. She had a beautiful blue umbrella which was popular among the villagers. A shopkeeper named Ram Bharosa wanted this umbrella and offered money in return but Binya refuses to sell her umbrella. On road she sat and rest under a pine tree. She slept there along with her open umbrella. Then suddenly the wind bles the umbrella towards the cliff and Binya had to rescue that from the cherry tree in which it got struck. In the process, Binya was stung by the needles of nettle (a plant) but she did not feel any pain because she was happy about saving her beloved umbrella.
