Activity 3: Read the narrative and then describe how the plot is working. Is
something happening with the arrangement?

My best friend John decided to go to the grocery store for some spinach. He
got in his car and got there in the afternoon. He returned to his home around
midnight with a single bag of spinach in hand. In between his departure and
arrival, his tire went flat. He reached the grocery after walking to the nearest
bus stop and paying for a ticket to other side of the city. He then called a tow
truck to pick up his car. The tow truck managed to give him a ride back to the
bus station, where he paid for another ticket to get across the city. He was no
longer hungry for spinach, so he put the bag in his refrigerator.
