Procedure: 1. Using the given figure below, interpret the motion of an object based on their distance (paper strip X, Y and Z). 2. Each dot occurred every 0.20 second, starting from a given point (see Figure 3). 3. Put your answer on the space provided below. Www Www WWW WWW www start Figure 3. Examine the distances between the three tape chart dots. Q1. How will you compare the distances between the successive dots of the three-tape chart? Q2. If each tape represents the distance travelled by the cart for 0.20 second, then what quantity does each piece of tape provide? Q3. What does the chart tell you about the speed?
Answers & Comments
Answer:
X - it just goes in normal speed, dot intervals didn't go longer or shorter
Y - it accelerated, it was slow at first then it goes fast by the end
Z - it decelerated, it was fast at first then it goes slow by the end
Q1 - Some of the dot intervals are long, some are short.
Q2 - X is 1.2 seconds , Y is 1.2 seconds , Z is 1.4 seconds (not sure)
Q3 - The shorter the interval is, the slower it goes, while the longer the interval is, the faster it goes.
