Motor works on the principle of fleming's left hand rule. It has an armature coil , two commutators, an strong magnet , battery and connecting wires with two carbon brushes.
when current flows through the arm AB of the armature it gets a motion due to Fleming"s rule and moves downwards and the side CD moves upwards. After a half rotation commutator(split rings) changes the direction of current. and this continues..
