Screening effect is the guarding of something present inside by something at boundary. eg.-The cavity inside a conductor has no electricity field lines cause it is screened by the material from external field.
the nuclear reduces its force of attraction on the valence electrons due to the presence of electrons in the inner shell outer electrons experience from the nuecleus and repulsion from the inner electrons screening effect is also known as shielding effect
example - the example of the screening effect is Nuclear fission when the electrons from middle of the the atoms drawn away
