Take some ice cubes then a glass. keep the ice cube in the glass. Then take a glass of water, and then in another container boil the water. we observe that the ice is as the shape as it was, the water is in the exat shape of the glass and the other , water vapour is formed. the solids have the highest intermolucular force, then liquid and then gaseous the least. so, they can take the shape of any object.
