Katherine was a very shy and quiet girl. In
school, Katherine seldom recited or participated in
the activities. Mrs. Reyes, her class adviser, asked
the other students to befriend Katherine and
encourage Katherine to be more confident.
Eventually, Mrs. Reyes was able to convince
Katherine to join the music club where
Katherine developed her talent in sing-
ing. Soon Katherine gained more friends.
Because of this, Katherine gained self-confi-
dence too. A couple weeks later, Katherine won
an interschool singing contest.
