During the ancient times, people merely walked to move from one place to another. Imagine what they had to endure when traveling to far places. Perhaps the difficulties that they experienced in their journeys led them to think of ways that would help them travel more easily and conveniently. Thus, various means of transportation were invented through the ages. These included vehicles such as jeepneys, cars, buses, and trains for land transportation; bancas, boat, ships, and submarines for water transportations; and airplanes, helicopters, and jets for air transportation.
The continuing innovations on modern transports have made the world smaller as people reach various destinations more easily. However, accidents that cause injuries and deaths also occur due to mechanical and human failures on these modes of transport.
