1. Create a graphic organizer about the nutritional needs of an adolescent.

2. Calculate how many servings of food are there on the nutritional plate.
3. Write a short paragraph explaining the importance of food given in the graphic organizer.
4. Your work will be graded based on the rubrics below.
A. Nutritional Needs
• Eat plenty of fruits of all colors • Eat/drink high-fat dairy products • Use healthy oils (like olive and canola) for cooking, and on salad
• Eat junk foods daily • Eat a variety of vegetables, especially dark green, red and orange vegetables. • Drink water, tea or coffee with little or no sugar
• Choose from a variety of low-fat sources of protein- including eggs, poultry without skin, seafood, lean meats and soy products. • Eat whole grain, high fiber breads and cereals • Consume sodas and other sugar-added drinks
