Dory was still in kindergarten when her father died. It was only her
mother who worked to earn a living. The situation they were in made her to
be strong and promised herself to study hard.
To become a good reader, she kept on reading during her free time.
She was tireless of giving her best in her studies. She was a consistent
honor student. Even she was busy with her studies, she never failed to help
her mother in the household chores.
Being a working student, she was able to balance her studies and
work. Her dream of becoming a teacher came true. Her mother's happiness
was clearly seen as she walked up the stage to get her diploma. She stood
and uttered, "We can achieve so much in our lives, we just need to believe in
ourselves, nothing is impossible."
