does depression have anything to do with age?

for example if you're 9 and you say you're depressed, and other people are saying that you're lying, even though u really did get diagnosed with depression at such a young age, people are saying that it's impossible to get depression at such a young age and that you're just being dramatic.


what's your opinion?

which side are you on (yourself or the other people)?
