Because not everyone can carry by themselves on their own like, they are used to rely on others or like the parents of someone spoils him/her that much and that made them dependent on others. Being dependent can't lose one's dignity, there may be others that are still learning to get independent and some others may be spoiled too much by someone. Childrens like us are still dependent to our parents because it is their responsibility to provide our needs until we grow up and be matured in our ways, that we'll learn to provide ourself our needs.
