Do the glossopterie fossils tell us all land masses were once together?
Yes. Because these fossils derive from species that could not have swum or drifted across the oceans, they strongly suggest that the landmasses were formerly connected. These aren't the only ones, though. Other species with a similar geographic distribution and restricted water-borne mobility have been discovered as well. On both sides of the oceans, we've discovered rock formations that fit together like jigsaw pieces.
