I tried the experiment, and used boiled kamote (also known as sweet pot ato). I also observed it using my eyes and nose. I didn’t taste it or touch it. Here are the results of the experiment:
Day One – After putting it inside the dark cabinet for 24 hours, I checked the boiled kamote and there are no changes.
Day Two – After 48 hours, I looked at the kamote again, and this time, I noticed that there are small spots growing in it. The odor also started smelling differently. I suspect that bacterial growth is already happening 48 hours after it was sealed inside the cabinet.
Day Three – After 72 hours, the bacterial colony can be observed, and it really smells bad.
