Both countrymen respect their parents, and old people. They also share the same border that divides the North and South Korea, as well as having Korean as their official and national language.
Differences:
They have different education and military system. North Korea is also struggling with the strict dictatorship of Kim Jung-Un, as well as having problems with their economy unlike their neighbor; South Korea, who's less strict, and more technologically and economically advanced.
Summary:
In terms of culture, South and North Korea does not have that much difference from one another. However, it's clear how North Korea is nowhere near as progressive as the South. There will always be a thin line separating the two.
