Directions: You will now design your own experiment in order to test the effect of the
extracts from the neem leaves to 3 days old wrigglers, using the following materials:
20. 3 days old wrigglers taken from the same area, (3) 50 mL beaker, 30 mL fresh,

Answer:
Obtain 3 days old wrigglers from the same area.
Collect 30 mL of fresh, mature neem leaves.
Prepare 3 50 mL beakers.
Obtain a medicine dropper.
Set up a timer.
Hypothesis: Extracts from neem leaves have a detrimental effect on the survival rate of 3 days old wrigglers.
Variables of the Study:
Dependent Variable: Survival rate of 3 days old wrigglers
Independent Variable: Extracts from neem leaves
Control:
Control group: 3 days old wrigglers placed in 50 mL beaker with no neem leaf extracts
Experimental group: 3 days old wrigglers placed in 50 mL beaker with neem leaf extracts (30 mL)
Materials to be used:
3 days old wrigglers
3 50 mL beakers
30 mL fresh, mature neem leaves
Medicine dropper
Timer
Procedure:
Obtain 3 days old wrigglers from the same area and place them in the first 50 mL beaker. This will be the control group.
Extract 30 mL of neem leaves and place them in the second 50 mL beaker.
Using the medicine dropper, add the neem leaf extracts to the third 50 mL beaker where the 3 days old wrigglers will be placed. This will be the experimental group.
Place the 3 beakers in a safe place where the wrigglers will not be disturbed.
Set a timer for 24 hours.
Record the number of surviving wrigglers in each beaker after 24 hours.
Compare the survival rate of wrigglers in the control group and the experimental group to see if there is a significant difference.
Repeat the experiment with different time intervals to see if it has a lasting effect
