1. Case 1: Is a liger a separate species from the lion and tiger?
Note: A liger is the offspring of a female tiger and a male lion.
REASON : The ligress female offspring of a male lion and a tigress is fertile. If mated to a male tiger she can give birth to a tiliger.
2. Case 2: Is a wholphin a separate species from the dolphin and killer whale?
Note: Wholphin is rare cetarean hybrid born from a mating of a female common bottlenose dolphin with a male false killer whale.
REASON : Wholphin is a extremely rare hybrid animal born from the mating of a female dolphin and a male killer whale. when separate species are not able to interbreed to produce fertile offsprings but the offspring from mating was fertile.
3. Case 3: Is the mule a separate species from the horse and donkey?
Note: A mule is the offspring of a male donkey and a female horse.
REASON : The offspring produced by interbreeding are usually sterile and the barriers to interbreeding between species can be premating they just don’t want to mate with one another or postmating they are willing to try, but the results are either missing or sterile.
