Differentiate the mode of reproduction between the conifers and sporophytes.
Difference of the reproduction between conifers and sporophytes:
•sporophyte phase a diploid (having two sets of chromosomes) plant body grows and eventually produces spores through meiosis. The union of two gametes during fertilization produces a diploid zygote, which divides mitotically to form a new sporophyte.
•Conifers reproduce using their cones. The male cones release pollen. This pollen is carried by the wind. If the pollen lands on a female cone, then the female cone will produce seeds.
