Sometimes,meteors are large enough ,so that they do not burn completely and a part of them reaches on earth is called meteorite.

Comets:
comets are small chunks of frozen gases and dust , that revolve around the sun .They revolve in a highly elliptical path and their period of revolution is very long from a few decades to few thousand years.
A comet appear as a bright head ( solid part ) and a tail of glowing gases ,called coma .
