Describe the following terms in short. (i) Actual resources (ii) Non-renewable resources (iii) Ubiquitous resources (iv) Natural
(i) Actual resources
Actual resources are those that have been surveyed, their quantity and quality determined, and are being used in present times. For example, petroleum and natural gas is actively being obtained from the Mumbai High Fields.
(ii) Non-renewable resources
Nonrenewable energy resources include coal, natural gas, oil, and nuclear energy. Once these resources are used up, they canno be replaced, which is a major problem for humanity as we are currently dependent on them to supply most of our energy needs.
(iii) Ubiquitous resources
ubiquitous resource is one of the natural resources. It is ubiquitous as found in every location. These are renewable resources. Sunlight, air, and water are some examples of such resources.
(iv) Natural resources
Natural resources are materials from the Earth that are used to support life and meet people's needs. Any natural substance that humans use can be considered a natural resource. Oil, coal, natural gas, metals, stone and sand are natural resources. Other natural resources are air, sunlight, soil and water.
Answer: Actual resources - resources which we get from the earth's crust and which can be used in present but we have to preserve them for the future according to today's situation. ex. coal, petrol, etc.
Nonrenewable resources- resources that we get from natural resources but we can't replace or renew other natural resources. ex. carbon-based fossil fuels.
Ubiquitous resources - resources that can be provided easily everywhere, one of the natural resources. ex sun, sir, water, etc.
Natural resources - resources that we get from the earth's crust or from nature that are used after a few modifications or treatments. ex- rock, oil, etc.
