The rise of nationalism in Europe was very systematic and had a lasting impact on the ways in which the entire continent would function.
The earliest signs of nationalism can be seen in the painting by Fredric Sorriue which showcased his view of the world and the ways in which democracy and social republics would impact the world.
This was followed by the French Revolution which lead to the downfall of King Louis XVI and the aristocratic class. With the French Revolution of 1789, the country would slowly grow toward understanding the idea of democracy and how people could play a massive role in the way they looked at nationhood,
This was followed by the age of revolutions between 1830 and 1848. This showcased several varying revolutions across the continent in places such as Brussels, Belgium, Netherlands, and Greece.
The next stage in the formation of nationalism in Europe came with the formation of Germany and Italy after the dismantling of the Prussian empire.
Eventually, several countries would break off from their earlier states and the rise of nationalism and imperialism would remain strong in Europe up until this day.
