11. Willy goes to meet his boss and organize a possible promotion, however his boss fires him after Willy becomes enraged and angry over his past business failures. Willy’s attempts to appease his boss fail and he is rejected from the building.

12. Linda, Biff, Happy and Charley, lament over Willy’s death and how they plan to proceed with their lives. Biff goes West, Happy tries to start a new business in New York, Charley returns to his old job, and Linda cries over Willy’s grave repeating, “We’re free….”

13. Biff and Happy come home and are bereted by their mother for leaving Willy alone at the restaurant. Willy goes to his garden and begins to plant seeds, talking to his dead brother Ben about how he became successful. He latter imagines seeing his estranged father and how he left him when he was young.

14. Willy comes home from a disastrous day at work, Linda encourages him to discuss getting a promotion from his boss

15. A flashback occurs depicting a younger Biff and a younger Happy being loved and admired

by a younger Willy.


16. We learn of a mysterious woman, who haunts Willy’s daydreams and fantasies.


17. Biff and Willy engage in one final argument over failure and success. Biff, Linda, and

Happy, all resolve to go to bed. Willy begins to talk to Ben again in his mind and resolves

to drive off to get some insurance money to provide for his family. Willy is killed in a car

accident.


18. Willy goes to see his friend Charley, and instead meets his successful son Bernard. Willy

becomes upset over Bernard’s success, due to Bernard’s lack of” charisma and likeability.”

Charley tries to reason with Will over the course he has run, yet Willy is still determined

to make a living from it.


19. Biff fails to achieve the business meeting with his old boss and steals an engraved fountain

pen by accident. Happy tries to convince Biff not to tell their father at dinner, and play it

off as a accident.


20. Linda confides in Biff and Happy that Willy is suicidal and has been trying to kill himself

through gas inhalation and car accidents. Biff initially disregards this information yet

discovers the gas hose in the basement and realizes Linda’s speculation is correct.


21. Happy confronts Willy about his apparent “dreams and babblings” and why he acts so

strangely. Willy responds to this line of questions, by reiterating his regret of never having

enough money or success.


22. Biff and Happy try to come up with a quick-rich scheme to win their father’s love and

affection.


23. A young Bernard comes in and questions why Biff does not work hard and study,

prompting Willy to chastise the young Bernard and deem him a failure.


24. Willy meets with his two sons at a local restaurant. Upon learning of his son’s failure.

Willy argues with his sons and eventually Biff locks Willy in a washroom to cool off.


25. Willy daydreams about the day Young Biff walked in on Young Willy cheating with the

Mysterious Woman. A young Biff becomes enraged at his father and storms out, cursing

him and vowing never to go to summer school.​
