.
49th cow gives 49 litre milk/day
He wants to divide the total no. of cows between his seven sons such that ALL HIS SONS WILL GET SAME LITRE MILK/DAY.
Hint Given:-
Solution:-
Using formula, we will get the magic square constant.
Here,
n(number of rows or cols)=7
So,
Magic constant
=n(n²+1)/2
=7(49+1)/2
=7*50/2
=175.
Hence, the magic square constant is 175.
We have to arrange the numbers 1-49 in such a way that the sum of the numbers(left-right, top-down and diagonally) is 175.
For n x n table and is odd, we will solve by using this rule given,
But, there exists three exception case which we will solve. These are the three exceptional cases.
In this way, we will put the values and get the numbers. Now, check out the attachment.
From there, you will get the answer i.e, the cow which each son will get.
But, the amazing fact is that, if you rotate the table, you will get another combination whose sum is 175.
Thus, there are four solution to this question.
