create a short independent critique. Apply any of the five steps.

1. Critique- literary technique used to critically evaluate a piece of literary work

2. Mood- feeling of the reader while reading the literary piece

3. Tone- the attitude of the author revealed in his wirk

4. Alliteration- repetition of consonant sounds within close proximity, usually in consecutive words same sentence or line

5. Anthropomorphism- where animals or inanimate objects are portrayed in a story as people

6. blank verse- non- rhyming poetry

7. dialogue - where characters speak to one another, may often be used to substitute for exposition

8. dramatic irony- where the audience or reader is aware of something in portrait , of which the characters is the story are not aware

9. Exposition-When an author interrupts a story in order to explain something, usually to provide important background information

10. Symbolism- The use of specific objects or images to represent abstract ideas

11. Verbal irony- Where the meaning is intended to be exact opposite of what the words actually mean

12. Sound devices- literary elements used in prose and poetry to stress certain sounds and create musical effects.​
