Construct an altitude from one of the vertices. The altitude of a triangle is a
line from a vertex to the opposite side, that is perpendicular to that side, as
shown in the diagram at the right. The altitude is also the median of the
equilateral triangle. A median of a triangle is a line segment that joins a vertex
to the mid-point of the side that is opposite to that vertex.
a. What are the measures of the acute angles of the new triangle formed?
