As we inhale, air entered the (11)
through the nostril or nares. As the air enter the nostril,
it will be filtered by a coarse of hair and enter the (12)
surrounded by mucus membrane. Nasal
membrane produces mucus which trap debris such as bacteria, virus and fungi that maybe harmful to humans.
Air descends to (13)
which served as the common passage of food and air. We can also breathe

On the lower part of the pharynx is a spoon shaped muscle called epiglottis which main function is to
seal off the windpipe during eating. After passing through the pharynx, air descends to (15)
where vocal cord is found. After the air entered the larynx, it will enter a muscular tube called (16)
This is connected with another two muscular tube which separate the right lung from the left

At the end
of each bronchioles are airs sacs called (19)
which serve as the main site of respiration. Around
the sacs are tiny capillaries which exchange oxygen from the (20)

exchange carbon dioxide from the blood stream to the lungs.
