1. there should be an abundance of hydrogen hanging around, usually in gas form inside a nebulae, once it clumps and achieved equilibrium, it should have a reasonable size to begin the main sequence.
2. Since the hydrogen is all used up, there's no fuel to support nuclear fusion.
3. The stars are so massive that it's gravity fused subatomic particles, it creates new elements.
