Age of father will be 45 years.

$\mathcal{\underline{STEP-BY-STEP \ EXPLANATION-}}$

Let the age of father be $\sf{x}$ years and sum of the ages of two children be $\sf{y}$ years.

After 5 years,

Father's age = $\sf{(x+5)}$ years

Sum of ages of his children = $\sf{(y+10)}$ years

According to question,

$\sf{x=3y}$ ----------(1)

$\sf{x+5=2(y+10)}$

$\sf{x-2y=15}$ ----------(2)

From (1) and (2),

$\sf{3y-2y=15}$

$\sf{y=15}$

Substituting value of $\sf{y}$ in (1),

$\sf{x=3y=3\times 15=45}$
