If you add the two by lighting the fire on the candle, it will remain solid since it will only light the candle.
But, if you add or put the candle to the fire, it will melt. As long as the wax doesn't melt away from the flame, the flame will consume it completely and leave no ash or wax residue.

i guess so but the student must clarify the question first...youre answer is correct but for me from candle add the fire...thats only my opinion kiddo.
