Blue whale (Balaenoptera musculus) is the largest underwater mammals that prefers saltwater environment. The female in some of these species usually give birth only once. Other species of whales give birth once in every two years and its rare for this organism to conceive twins. Twins in this species has a lesser chance of survival.

Question:

How can this characteristic endanger this species? What adaptation should their species have to be able to survive in the future generations?
