Answers & Comments
Answer:
1.Constellations are useful because they help stargazers and astronomers recognise specific stars in the night sky. Today, constellations are less important than they were in Ancient History. In Ancient times, constellations were used to create and track the calendar so they knew when to plant crops and harvest them.
2.Most of the constellation names we know came from the ancient Middle Eastern, Greek, and Roman cultures. They identified clusters of stars as gods, goddesses, animals, and objects of their stories. ... These scientists “connected” the dimmer stars between the ancient constellations.
3.You might know that the real sun in the real sky does not appear in front of a constellation of the zodiac within the same range of dates you’ll see listed in astrological horoscopes. That’s because astrology and astronomy are different systems. Astrologers typically indicate the sun’s position with signs while astronomers use constellations. We were asked for:
… a list of the constellations that fall on the ecliptic with the exact degrees.
4. If observed through the year, the constellations shift gradually to the west. This is caused by Earth's orbit around our Sun. In the summer, viewers are looking in a different direction in space at night than they are during the winter.
