I will express my thoughts and personality through a piano. A piano has a lot of notes and keys. You can also play it faster or slower, thus controlling the aggressiveness or softness of a music. Changing tempos in your piece stirs up different emotions as well as using dynamics. Typically, the faster tempos are comparable to loud music, and express joy and festiveness, but can also instigate feelings of urgency, confusion or even anger. Plus, people who play the piano tend to experience less anxiety and depression than their nonmusical counterparts.
My choice would be a violin. People generally think of violin music as creating peaceful, soothing, dreamy music. That’s how people usually see you, polite, sensible, a bit shy and soft-spoken. But what people sometimes forget is that violins can be played poorly, making squeaky and nasty sounds. The same goes for me; when my emotions are unstable, I can throw a real tantrum and become terrible, just like a violin.
