1. Jason is wrapping a gift. The box he is using is a rectangular prism with a
length of 18 inches, a width of 10 inches, and a height of 4 inches. Find how
many square inches of paper he needs to wrap the entire box?
2. A certain music box has a shape of a cube. Each side of the music box is 15
cm long. What is the surface area of the box?
3. The Grade VI pupils are constructing a dice for their project. They plan to cover
it with manila paper. If the side of the dice measures 3 dm, what size of manila
paper will be needed to cover all faces of the dice?
4. Johns works in a company that makes tents. His boss assigned him to design
tents for mountaineers. He need to keep them light. To decide what what
fabrics are acceptable to mountaineers, he needs to know the amount of
fabric it takes to construct the tent with the base area of 4m2 and a slant
height of 3m. How much fabric is required to construct this tent?
5. A tent has square base of side 8 m. If each face of the four triangular faces
has a height of 7 m, then how much material is used in making the tent?
6. A pyramid has a square base of side 24cm.
And the height of each triangular face is 16cm. Find the surface area of the
pyramid.
7. The base of a pyramid is a square of side 5 cm and its height is 12 cm.
8. A closed cone model made of tin, has a radius of 9 cm and a slant height of 10
cm. Find the amount of material used in making the cone?
9. A cylinder shaped water pitcher has a radius of 5 inches and a height of 12
inches. Find the surface area of the pitcher.
10. The base of the cone is 16cm in diameter and the slant height of the curved
surface is 18 cm. Find its surface area.
