Assessment
Directions: Choose the correct paragraphs to complete the
persuasive essay. Put a check mark (v) if the paragraph belongs to the
topic "Writing Skills " and (X) if not.

(1)What would you think if you had to put your personal
belongings in a crate and every time you turn around something of yours
were stolen?

(2)Writing skills are important parts of communication. They
allow you to communicate your message with clarity and ease.

(3)The reason for this is that the children will have their own
lockers plus their own locks, which only they have the combination to. This
will reduce cases where things are being stolen.

(4)Correct grammar, punctuation, and spelling are the key
elements in written communications. These, when observed properly,
could give a writer a good impression.

(5) My final reasan why I think students should have lockers
is so students won't complain about caring everything at once.

(6)The good news is that writing is a skill which can be learn
like any other. One trick for checking and improving your work is to read
it loudly.

(7)In conclusion I think students should have lockers. If we
have lockers stealing in school would go down, it would create a safe and
clean place for students to put their things, and students would complain
less and be healthier.

(8) Reading your own written outputs makes you to slow down
and pick up problems with the flow that your eye would otherwise skip
over.​
