The Philippines has been ranked as the 2nd largest producer of geothermal energy in the whole world. It is also the largest producer of geothermal power in the whole Asia Pacific. The country has 7 geothermal fields that provides 12 percent of the total power generated in the country. However, the country relies heavily on fossil fuel, petroleum, and coal for its power generation. Why do you think this is so?
Answers & Comments
It's not eco-friendly anymore.
Explanation:
We know that Philippines is gifted, we're so rich in different biodiversity including that geothermal reservoirs. Though we know that geothermal energy are so eco-friendly since it lessens carbon dioxide emissions our country still picked to rely on heavily fossil fuel, petroleum and coal and that's the point. Our government still picked that even though it can contribute more to global warming and that's a serious thing. So what I'm trying to say is, even though that happens we can still do things to lessen the carbon emissions and prevent global warming.
