First of all, before you can pursue virtue you have to know what is comprised or made up of. What is virtue? According to Aristotle, one achieves eudaemonia (i.e. “human flourishing” or a “well-lived life”) as the life in pursuit of the four cardinal virtues: prudence, justice, temperance, and fortitude. However, Christian theologians later added to Aristotle’s list the three theological virtues of faith, hope and love (i.e. “charity” or “brotherly love”). Those three mostly come from the interpretation of Corinthians I Chapter 13. That makes seven virtues altogether. However, they are all equally important. Don’t leave home without them.
