Arnold bought 5 packs of strawberry candy balls. Each pack has an average

content of 12 strawberry candy balls as per information on the packaging.

However, when he counted the contents of each pack, he learned that there

are 12, 10, 10, 13, and 13 strawberry candy balls. Why?

A. The candy

balls do not

have the same

sizes.

B. The machine

does not put the

exact number of

candy balls in

each pack.

C. The packaging

says that the

average number

of strawberry

candy balls is 12.

D. The

strawberry candy

balls are packed

with the same

weights, not in

the number of

individual

candies, thus the

average content

is 12 pieces.
