HOW POLARITY OF MOLECULES IS APPLIED TO SOCIETY

1. some drugs relay on the polarity of drug molecules and their target cells and tissues for them to work effectively

2. Commercial waterproofing sprays make use of coating materials with a thin layer of non chemical so water and other common liquids would not absorb through it and just bead up or roll of the surface

3. our cell membranes are made of phospholipid bilayer. The phospholipid bilayer has the polar (water-loving) phosphates on the outside, and the non polar lipids are sandwiches in between.
this allows to phosphates to be exposed to water, either in the cell or the environment, while the lipids are protected from water. This arrangement means that only small, uncharged molecules can pass through the membrane
