Gamit ang eklektikong pagsusuri na ginagabayan ng mga konsepto sa Kasaysayan, Teolohiya, Sikolohiya at Sosyolohiya, makikita sa mga awiting liturhikal ang pagsasalikop ng konsepto ng relihiyon at bayan. Matingkad din ang epekto ng iba't ibang puwersa ng lipunan at ng paggulong ng kasaysayan sa paghubog sa konsepto ng bayan. Ang mga implikasyon nito sa lipunan at sa buhay Katoliko ay malaking hamon hindi lamang sa kontemporaryong panahon, kungdi pati rin sa hinaharap.
