An isosceles triangle has 2 sides measuring 45cm and the other side measures 80cm. What is the total distance of the triangle?
The total distance of the triangle is what we call the Perimeter.
The Perimeter is the sum of all the sides of the figure.
Since the figure is a triangle, it has three sides so we simply add all the 3 sides.
where
side1 = 45 cm
side2 = 45 cm
side3 = 80 cm
Perimeter = side1 + side2 + side3
Perimeter = 45 + 45 + 80
Perimeter = 170 cm
