3. The Paleolithic is the period in which human transformation is seen. One of the most important events here was the discovery of fire. Paleolithic people were nomads, or had no permanent residence. The Paleolithic period is divided into three parts: Low, Middle and Upper. The Low Paleolithic Period is said to be the period of the transformation of human form. Here one of the most important human stages is seen as Australopithecine. The excavation says Lucy was an Australopithecine. The Middle Paleolithic Period is said to be the period of Hominid control over their environment. It was also during this time that people began to manifest artistic abilities. They draw on rocks and they paint their bodies. The Upper Paleolithic Period is said to be the period of the development of human culture. It was also during this time that the Cro-Magnons emerged. During this time the habits, behavior and lifestyle of the people changed.
