Directions: Read the situations and answer the questions after each paragraph.

Situation No. 1
It is your sister's birthday. Your mother plans to prepare vegetable salad. She goes to the market to buy cucumber, carrots, celeries, bell pepper, lettuce, tomatoes and mayonnaise and olive oil for salad dressing. As soon as mother arrives home, she washes all the vegetables and cuts them into different shapes. She puts all the cut vegetable in a big bowl. Then she adds mayonnaise, spoonful of oil and little salt to taste. She mixes the vegetable salad thoroughly.
