Are you familiar with Pablo S. Gomez's “Machete?" It is the story about a wooden statue that was carved by his wife Alindog. Machete comes alive at night to win Mara's heart, whom he has mistaken as his wife. Apart from this, we have a lot of rendition of stories made by other countries such as Mexico's "Marimar", South Korea's "Coffee Prince" and "Pure Love". 1. What is your stand on this? 2. Do you think we do not stifle our creativity nor promote our own cultural stories because of too much ride on these countries' popularity? 3. Compose a clear and coherent view.
