Activity 3 - Definition of Kinetic Energy and Factors Affecting it

Objectives:

Describe what is kinetic energy
Describe the factors that can affect the lanetic energy of an object

Materials:
2 balls (different weight & size) 2 bowls (same size)
table
water

Procedures:
1. Put the balls on the top of the table and then place the bowls with water below the table (figure 10).
2. Gently push the balls toward the bowls. What do you think will happen? Record your observations. Describe the splash of water for each bowl. You may repeat the experiment to closely observe what happens. Record your observation.

Guide Questions:

1. What form of energy did the balls gain when you pushed them gently toward the bowis?

2. Based on your observation, which of the ball creates a greater splash on the water? Why do you think so?​
