Read the excerpts from "Sayings from the Analects" by Confucius. Use
the marking signals in expressing your agreement or disagreement to each
saying
1. "It is a moral cowardice to leave undone what one perceives to be right to
do"
2. "The noble sort of man is dignified but not proud; the inferior man is proud
but not dignified."
3. "When you have faults, do not fear to abandon them. **
4. The master said, "If a man keeps cherishing his old knowledge, so as
continually to be acquiring new, he may be a teacher of others."
5. The master said, "The mind of the superior man is conversant with
righteousness; the mind of the mean man is conversant with gain."
