1. Physical Fitness is the ability of the muscles to function effectively and
efficiently without undue fatigue in work and daily activities.
2. The Physical Fitness Test (PFT) is a set of measure designed to
determine a student's level of physical fitness. It is intended to two
categories of physical fitness commonly referred to "health-related and
"skill-related components as refer to those physical attributes which
enable a person to cope with the requirement daily living such as
cardiovascular endurance or stamina, muscular strength and
endurance, flexibility and the appropriate body mass index (BMI).
3. Cardiovascular Fitness is the capacity of the heart and the lungs to
sustain oxygen to the muscles for a prolonged period of time
4. Muscular Strength refers to the maximum amount of force a muscle
can exert against an opposing force. Fitness testing usually consists of a
one-time maximum lift using weights (bench press, leg press, etc.).
5. Muscular Endurance refers to the ability of the muscle to work over an
extended period of time without fatigue. Performing push-ups and sit-
ups or crunches for one minute is commonly used in fitness testing of
muscular endurance.
6. Flexibility is the ability to move a body part through a full range of
motion (ROM) at a joint. The sit-and-reach is commonly used to
determine flexibility
7. Body composition is the ratio of body fat to lean body mass (including
water, bones, muscles, and connective tissues). Having too many fat
tissues is a risk factor for cardiovascular diseases, diabetes, cancer, and
arthritis.
8. Frequency is refers to how often you do a physical activity.
9. Static stretching is more appropriate in the cool down as they help
muscles to relax, realign muscles fibers and re-establish their normal
range of movement.​
