ACTIVITY 1.2 - "IS IT REAL OR NOT?"
Direction: The following are list of scenarios wherein computers are involved. Read
and analyze each statement. Write TRUE of you believe it implies acceptable truths.
Otherwise, FALSE if you think that the statement is wrong or not acceptable.
1. Computers help our healthcare system which uses specialized computer
in digital-imaging and interpreting scientific or laboratory findings.
2. Computers are not so useful in education especially for the students
because they only add distraction.
3. In science, computers are useful since they assist our scientists in
processing their findings.
4. If you are planning to become an accountant or bank clerk, skills in using
computer are not needed. You can just simply use traditional paper and
pen computations.
5. Planning to travel abroad? Nowadays, travel operators for airplanes and
buses are already using electronic ticketing system. Thus, computer skill
is a must.
6. Computers are unreliable. They give us different results even after
providing the same data and process.
7. Computer consistency implies that computers can generate error-free
results if correct inputs were provided by the user.
8. Nowadays, processing speed of computers are increasing making it
more productive and could perform multiple operations.
9. Communication is well supported by computers in various forms and
platforms.
10. Computers are not useful in our economy.​
