Activity 1: Ball Game Directions: Describe what happens to an object's movement when force is applied by performing the activity below. Answer the guide questions that follow. Materials: table or any flat surface, small ball Procedure: 1. Put the small ball on the table or on the floor. 2. Push the ball lightly using your hand. 3. Use your other hand to block the moving ball in the opposite direction. Observe the movement of the ball. 4. Repeat steps 1 and 2 and this time push the moving ball to the left. Observe what will happen. 5. Position the ball towards a wall in your house. Roll the ball against the wall. Observe what will happen. Guide Questions: 1. Did the ball move when you placed it on the table or on the floor? What did you do to make it move?
